New book..!

Here's a sneak peek at my latest book cover!

The Darkest Dream is the first book of The Darkest Trilogy.

In one dark and fateful night, everything about seventeen year old Lucinda Malone’s life changes.  Having already lost both of her parents, Lucy loses the one remaining person she can rely on—and, worst of all, she loses her to a darkness she never knew existed, but to which she had always felt drawn.
The moment Lucy discovers that there’s another world existing within her own—that vampires and casters aren’t just mythical beings—she feels nothing.  Nothing but a quiet acceptance.  For as long as she can remember, she’s dreamed of the darkness.  She’s felt its pull, calling out to her—but it isn’t until she meets Darren O’Connor—the vampire who saves her life—that it all begins to make sense.

 Available soon on Amazon!

New book is AVAILABLE!

My latest novel, Single, Available, and Completely Attached, is now available on Amazon!

It's been getting some really great reviews so far, and I really hope that everyone continues to enjoy it.  Single, Available, and Completely Attached was just so much fun to write, and it seems like that's really showing through.

Meanwhile, I'm starting on a new romance while finishing up some details on my YA venture.  Looking forward to trying out some new waters!

As always, thanks for the support everyone!

Single, Available, and Completely Attached

My latest novel, Single, Available, and Completely Attached, is just around the corner.  Here's a quick little synopsis!

Good girl Anna Maloy has always been drawn to the wrong kind of guy—and if anybody fit that definition, it was Drew Whitman: her boyfriend’s best friend.

So when Anna breaks things off with her boyfriend of seven years, her newly minted ex does the logical thing:  He asks Drew to keep an eye on her.

Drew Whitman has never understood the hype about monogamy.  He’s never even been tempted.  Well, maybe, just that once—but as a loyal best friend, he’s chosen to forget all about that past and enjoy a life of self-indulgence and instant gratification.

Until he’s practically forced into her life, that is.  He does his best to ignore—well, everything about Anna Maloy, as he’s done the last seven years.  But the more time he spends with her, the harder it gets—especially when she’s the one crossing the line.

Can't wait to share it with everyone!  This book was a lot of fun to write, so I'm hoping everyone has even more fun reading it.  :o)

Updates..!

Hey everyone.  It's been awhile since I've posted, but I've been busy at work finishing up my latest work-in-progress!  I've just got a few technical details to attend to and it'll be set to go--hoping for a July release!

Meanwhile, I'm taking a little departure from my normal genre and trying my hand at a YA/NA vampire fantasy series.  It started out as a short story about...oh, twelve or thirteen years ago, and it's been itching at me ever since.

Anyway, just wanted to send out some appreciation to all those who have taken the time to read my novels.  It's a dream come true to be able to do something that not only I enjoy doing, but others enjoy reading, too.

I hope to keep it up!

There are few things I enjoy more than the feeling of writing without thought.

When the words come so naturally, without effort; when the characters are so much a part of me that I don't have to stop to consider how they would respond; when their emotions are so real, I feel them, too.

These are the moments that I lose myself in, and hours pass...

And then I realize how late it is, and I have to hope that tomorrow, the pattern repeats itself.

Can't Let Go

Here's a quick little summary about what to expect from Can't Let Go!

After having her heart broken, Abby spent the next several years moving on with her life—going back to school, finding a job, making a new life with a new man, all the while happily watching her best friend live the dream.

Until one brief phone call sends her reeling.

After the death of their best friends, Abby Lewis and Logan Sheppard are reunited for the first time since the morning he’d walked out on her all those years ago.  Through their grief, they are forced to confront the feelings they once had for each other and ask the question…is it finally time to let go?

Check back in a couple of days for more updates!

The Journey Begins

I have been reading for literally as long as I can remember.  To this day, I can still remember the way I felt upon reading my first book, on my own, with nobody there to help me.  I remember being so overwhelmed with excitement and pride that I took One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss everywhere with me.  One memory in particular stands out:  My dad was driving the car, and I was sitting in the passenger seat, holding the book up to the window because we were stopped at a light and I was using the red glow to see the page.

As I grew older, I began reading more and more.  Around the age of ten, I began "borrowing" my sister's Harlequin novels.  Once she discovered me, she introduced me to the world of YA fiction--which I devoured.  In middle school, we had a reading encouragement program:  Read a book, pass the quiz, earn points, use those points to buy things.  I had the most points in the school.  I was reading Mary Higgins Clark books and quizzing on them as often as possible.

I think I still have one of the beanie-babies I bought with my points.  The blow-up couch has long been destroyed.

It was around this time that I began writing.  My dad brought home an old computer from work and said that I could have it.  It was the most basic computer possible--really only good for solitaire and word processing.

But that was all I needed it for.

Writing started out as a way for me to create some fantasy world I wished I could live in, but slowly, it evolved into something more.  I wrote about a family winning the lottery, and about a girl who goes on vacation with her crush, and about a world of vampires and darkness.  I would spend hours sitting in front of that computer, writing about my own characters, or borrowing those I'd already become attached to elsewhere.

That was about fifteen years ago.  I've begun, and abandoned, countless amounts of stories since then.  I've written thousands upon thousands of words, and, finally, after years of encouragment from others, I've decided it's time to make a go at it.

So if you're stumbling upon this blog by chance, please, check out Playing at Forever on Amazon Kindle.  You can follow me on Twitter and Facebook as well.  :o)
